What a shitty situation..Pity Arni..Ajai is marrying someone else and it's not Tasha.. KUALA LUMPUR: Prolific composer, producer and singer Mohd Faizal Maas, more popularly known as Ajai, will tie the knot with former Warner Music promotions manager, Norliza Ilias, in 2009. |
In an exclusive interview with Weekend Mail, the 32- year-old said Liza, is “perfect for me”.
“She understands me, personally and professionally, and has everything I look for in a woman,” he said.
“I need someone in my life, and when I do get married, it’s not only for me, but for my daughter.” After ending his 11-year marriage to singer Nurul, or Noorul Huda Abdul Wahab, 30, on March 1, Ajai’s relationship with Liza, who is now Maestro Talent & Management head of artiste management, has been tabloid fodder.
There were even reports that the couple would wed on Nov 11.
Ajai said he would settle down with Liza in 2009 and not this year.
“We are still getting to know each other and I have to be sure before I make a decision.
“I suppose I’m being cautious because I’ve been through marriage before and I don’t want things to go the way it did before.” Ajai said he does not plan to get engaged.
“Once my mind is made up, I plan to marry her straight away and skip the engagement,” he said.
“That’s how I am, I suppose.
I prefer to just get married instead of getting engaged.” While Ajai was candid about the new love of his life, the petite 34-year-old Liza would only offer a smile each time we asked her for comments on the matter.
Ajai said he had to push the date to 2009 because of his busy schedule.
“I have a lot of things to think about and plans that need to be ironed out. I’m in the midst of promoting the Kayangan original motion picture soundtrack,” said Ajai, who runs his own production house called Wake The Baby.
“After this, I have several other projects lined up, including the Ajai & Friends album and tour, as well as a collaboration with Kris Dayanti that will also see a road tour.” Ajai said he was not upset that some parties had said that he would get married in November.
“I’m not angry. I guess I’m not the type of person to kick up a fuss or threaten to sue. I do hope that they’ll stop coming up with stories like that.” Nurul, when contacted, said she had been informed by Ajai about rumours that he would wed on Nov 11.
“I told him that if he wanted to marry, I had no right to interfere. I also told him to do what he thought was best for him and our daughter.” She, however, said Ajai had not informed her of his decision to wed in 2009.
On her personal life, Nurul said she was focusing on her career.
“I have no plans to settle down. I don’t even have a candidate,” said Nurul, who is recording a new album.
She said she had completed four songs for the new album, which was supposed to have been released this month.
It had to be delayed as she had to carry out promotions for a health drink.
